Face to Face Exercise: Role-Play
Providing positive feedback is beneficial both for your team (apprentices) and for the company. But this isn’t always easy, since there are many things to consider when giving positive feedback. In the following, a role will be assigned to all the participants and they will have to act accordingly. The participants will act like employees in specific circumstances while one of them will be in-company trainer who must provide positive feedback in each situation. At the end of the activity the participants will discuss which of the techniques that in-company trainer used were the most appropriate, and what can be improved.
Role 1 | You are an apprentice working in a technical company. To prove your skills and help the company you are working overtime. You are doing it with a positive attitude and understand that t it will benefit both you and the company. |
Role 2 | You are an apprentice who lack of confidence lately, but you are still working hard. As a result, the last two weeks your performance is poor. |
Role 3 | You are an apprentice at a consulting company. You have been assigned with a difficult task but you still managed to finish it on time. You have never done before something similar, but you maintained a positive attitude and tried your best. |
Role 4 | You are an apprenticeship in a furniture company for the last month. During meetings, you have shared many new ideas that helped the team implement innovative activities. |
