Support resources
In the following exercise, you will be given a series of situations. Each of the participants will be given a role, and they will have to act through said situation following the rules of the given role. There will also be at least two people observing the situation, and they will be in charge of analysing the behaviour of each participant and the situation itself.
At the end, as a group, you will decide whether the way of acting of each participant was the most appropriate, and how could it have been improved.

GROUP WORK
Step 1: Designing an evaluation
Imagine that you are working with an apprentice marketing operator within a manufacturing company. You have assigned the apprentice the task to “interpret interim and final reports on sales trade and analyze the deviations from the foreseen objectives”.
In groups, describe the steps you will take to plan and implement your evaluation, using the forms provided in the module
Step 2: Discussion
An external observer will evaluate the quality of the evaluation plan provided by each group and discuss with different participants about the main flaws and strengths
ROLE PLAY 2
Participants will be split into groups and each participant will receive one of the following cards so that s/he has information to participate in the role-play. Two people will observe and provide their feedback at the end of the simulation
Card for the in-company tutor
You are tutoring an apprentice working as apprentice marketing specialist within your company. You have recently conducted an evaluation on the tasks performed by your apprentice and found out that the apprentice has not achieved the pre-defined learning outcomes. Card for the apprentice
You are working as apprentice marketing specialist within a manufacturing company. You scored very low in the evaluation conducted by your tutor. You believe that you did not have enough time to carry out the task and also you did not know where to find relevant documents to carry out the task properly. You decide to talk about your concern with your in-company tutor. You believe that if you had enough time and support by your colleagues you would have managed to score higher in the evaluation. You think that your colleagues should have known that they had to support you although you did not ask as you are an apprentice. |
