COURSE PLAN
Training Objectives
Taking part in an apprenticeship relation is a more complex decision that what may be seen at the beginning. Through an apprenticeship, the trainee is expected not only to learn the hard skills coming from the specific job, but to also improve or learn certain soft skills, which are even more necessary in some cases, but cannot be acquired in any different environment from the working one.
However, most of the times in-company tutors have no previous training or preparation to carry out said role. Through the following course plan, the consortium of 4EXPORT aims to provide the future in-company tutor with specific skills that will facilitate their future job as in-company tutors. In many cases, said skills will be related in a pedagogical manner to the way in which the training will be provided, focusing on specific aspects of the training and the apprenticeship environment.
Furthermore, 4EXPORT is specifically designed to help in-company tutors who will work with apprentices in aspects related to the company internationalisation. Working in internationalisation environments usually requires specific competences and the correct adaptation of the training provision to match the needs of the sector in which the internationalisation process will take place. Bearing this in mind, it is another objective of this course plan to deliver a training path through which the tutor will train on the skills and competences necessary to manage and deliver a successful apprenticeship experience related to internationalisation.
To sum up the training objectives of this course plan include:
- Promote the use of apprenticeship in the companies, especially with regards to internationalisation
- Provide future and current in-company tutors with tools to improve their training skills
- Encourage the interest of potential in-company tutors in taking part of said role in internationalisation areas of companies
- Effectively train in-company tutors to provide the best possible apprenticeship experience to their trainees, especially in relation to internationalisation
Measurable Learning Outcomes
The 4EXPORT MOOC has a series of measurable learning outcomes, including:
- Production of a set of 4 modules
- Providing the learners with content to facilitate their understanding on the work of in-company tutors
- Providing with specific knowledge regarding the agreed competences necessary for in-company tutors when working in areas related to internationalisation
- Helping in-company tutors learn how to create a high-quality training programme and content, specific to their needs
- Facilitating the access to training through open educational resources
- Endorsing distance with online training
Topics
All topics included in the following course plan have been agreed by the partnership after carrying out an intensive research with participation of the different target groups of the project. Said research was performed in the first intellectual output of the project, which is available online in the project website.
More concretely, the following topics were selected to form the course curricula:

Assessment Criteria
The course plan created in 4EXPORT has a combination of initial assessment and final assessment. Through this combined evaluation method, it is expected to provide the learners with a double set of information.
First of all, it will be possible for the potential learner to carry out an initial assessment, in which their knowledge level of the competences included in the curricula will be tested. The initial assessment, which is included in this document, will test the different competences through questions related to them, which will let the answerers choose from different perspectives which would be their most preferable choice. The results will serve to give the respondents a starting point from which they will know which parts of the 4EXPORT MOOC would be more interesting or necessary for them.
Secondly, each MOOC module includes individual exercises for each of the competences included in them, which will facilitate the self-assessment of users while trying to solve said exercises. These exercises will let the user evaluate their knowledge on the specific competence of interest.
Finally, at the end of each module, a series of three exercises will be available for the in-company tutors, divided by level of difficulty. Going through the three exercises, which will be the final assessment of each module, and correctly resolving them, will indicate the learner has reached an adequate proficiency in the tested module.
