ACTIVITY 2: MATCH WITH THE RIGHT STEP
As we saw in the Curriculum Programme, an interesting methodology to follow when
designing a training programme is the 4-step Methodology, which includes these steps:
1. Prepare
2. Demonstrate
3. Imitate
4. Practice
Could you guess to which step belong the following actions?
In this step, it is very useful to make them explain what they are
doing
The trainer would go through all the steps of the activity, just like
any professional would do it
The trainer should be informed to not repeat training parts the
apprentice is already familiar with
The trainer should be next to the apprentice, supervising
It will help to avoid giving the apprentices tasks that are
impossible for them to carry out
The trainer should not be next to the apprentice
The trainer should correct the apprentice if necessary
It should be done in two phases
RESULTS:
Prepare: 3 and 5 Imitate: 1 and 4
Demonstrate: 2 and 8 Practice: 6 and 7
